Forever Royal: Keeper of Her Family’s History
I realized years ago that once someone in my family dies their voice is silenced here. They may take with them family history and memories that are lost forever. I am an oops baby and my mother and father were oops babies and somewhere in the years between it feels like we lost a generation. My Grandparents are the age of my friend’s Great Grandparents or even Great Great Grandparents.
It became important for me to remember those who came before me, as I did not know many of them. I had to rely on the memories of others to learn about the people that came before me. I have taken the time to document memories of these family members. In documenting memories I am documenting the history of my family so that it is not lost.
Memories may not be 100% accurate, but it is HOW we remember and WHY we remember events in our lives that make them important to me, the keeper of my family’s history. I am not here to dispute what is told to me or dispute what I remember. I am writing to document the memories and document the history of those memories.
